A town centre gym has taken over another fitness centre in Bromley Cross.

The Colony Health and Fitness has been run by three personal trainers Conor McGirr, Luke Walker and Jake Abrahams since August 2022.

The friends and gym owners are now taking over the Kept Fit Gym in Bromley Cross.

Existing customers will be transferred to The Colony BX in a rebrand in January, but the gym is still open for use.

Luke said: “It attracts more people and we have had good feedback at the town centre gym.

The Bolton News: Kept Fit

“We have  The Heart of the Community Award and the Gym of the Year at The Bolton News Business Awards and the Health and Wellbeing Awards.

“So, there is no reason why we cannot expand and help more people across other parts of Bolton.”

The Kept Fit gym will rebrand as The Colony BX in the new year and will run as a personal training gym with 1-2-1’s and small group PT sessions instead of as a regular gym.

Luke said: “We are feeling excited about it, and it is going to be a different challenge.

“The size is a factor in it being a PT gym, and the more people that do PT, the better the results they get than regular gym training.

“You will see many people in the gym going through paces, but this is different in what it will be.”

The Bolton News:

Anyone who signs up to the new gym will be able to use the town centre gym facilities for workouts on their own.

Alongside the new gym, The Colony Health and Fitness are launching an appeal for everyone’s favourite sweet and dessert donations to be dropped off at the town centre gym.

The donations will then be taken to The Mill Community Kitchen in order to help less privileged families enjoy a Christmas with festive snacks.

To help with monetary or food donations, the team will be undertaking a 70-mile rowing challenge   equalling the length of River Mersey on Friday, December 15.
