A dispersal order was put in place in Little Lever last night after reports of young people causing a 'nuisance'.
An outlined area of Little Lever was under a dispersal order from 3pm yesterday, December 8, to 12am this morning.
The Dispersal Order powers came under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and extra officers were deployed around the area both on foot and in patrol cars.
Inspector Maddocks from the Bolton South Neighbourhood Policing team said: “There has been several reports of anti-social behaviour in and around the Little Lever area, and we will always treat such reports with zero tolerance.
“Members of the pubic have been reporting that groups of young people have been causing harassment and nuisance in the community.
“I believe that this order is necessary and proportionate to target, identify, and take appropriate action against those individuals responsible for this behaviour.”
