After months of anticipation, a new fast food giant is one step closer to opening its drive-thru branch in Bolton.

The new Burger King will be located on Bridgewater Avenue, part of the Logistics North location, adding to the other places to eat on the site, including a Greggs drive-thru, and Costa Coffee.

Developers A&F Forecourts has also added shopping outlets such as Aldi, and Pine Tree Farm, to the site.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King UK, said: “We know the people of Bolton love the great tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood.”

The Bolton News:

The new restaurant has also created 30 new jobs and will officially open on Monday, December 11.

To celebrate, the restaurant opening the business is giving away 1,000 free burgers to lucky locals, including the flame-grilled Whopper and iconic Chicken Royale.

The deal is first-come-first-served on the day of opening only at the new restaurant.

The Bolton News: Guests simply need to order a Whopper or Chicken Royale at the front counter or via drive-thrus to get their burger completely free.

Burger King is also offering the 100th customer 24 free Whopper or Royale burgers.

Limited-edition Burger King tote bags are also being given out to mark the opening, including a leaflet with exclusive offers available on the Burger King app – but there are only 100 available.

There’s also plenty of deals and discounts for burger lovers to tuck into via the Burger King app.

There is only one offer allowed per transaction, which is only valid in the UK, subject to availability.

The Bolton News: Founded in 1954, the Burger King brand is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world.

In November 2017 Bridgepoint reached an agreement with Burger King Europe GmbH - an affiliate of Restaurant Brands International Inc - to become the UK master franchisee of Burger King, with exclusive rights to the brand in the UK.

As a result, a new entity was created, Burger King UK.
