A road in Smithills will be closed later this month whilst a crane is assembled in the area.
Shepherd Cross Street will be closed from December 18 for approximately four days to allow crane erection works to take place.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Shepherd Cross Street from Raphael Street to Elgin Street.
To allow motorists to travel in the area with ease, an alternative route will be via Escrick Street.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
