A lucky Bolton man has won a whopping £42,000 at Grosvenor Casino in Bolton after taking a chance with £1.
The mystery man received a silver lining of fortune while playing the Electronic Roulette game, Going for Gold.
The lucky winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was visiting the casino on Ormrod Street and after trying his luck on a bet into a silver jackpot prize.
General manager at Grosvenor Casino Bolton, John Docherty, said: “A massive congratulations to our local winner from everyone here at the casino.

“Going for Gold really is the perfect game to turn a £1 bet into a huge jackpot.
“He really had the Midas touch.”
Going for Gold is a roulette jackpot side bet with multi-level jackpots, with the gold level prize amounting to £175,000.
While the man just missed out on winning the overall jackpot, he walked away with the staggering silver prize.
He is currently undecided on how he will use his lucky jackpot win.
