Aldi in Bolton is set to reopen with a fresh new look after undergoing a huge refurbishment.

The store on Higher Bridge Street will now provide more space dedicated to fresh British meat and fish as well as popular Lacura health and beauty products and award-winning beers, wines and spirits.

Famous Mamia baby care products and a new and improved "Food to Go" section, offering a choice of fresh salads, sandwiches and sushi will be on offer.

The format has been created to make shopping easier for customers, which includes clearer signs.

The Bolton News:

Fresh bread and cakes have also been moved to the last aisle, preventing them getting squashed under customers’ shopping and the store will now offer new, easy-to-browse freezers.

Store manager Ben Walker said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves.

“We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and service they’re used to.”

Standing at 965 sq/m of retail space, the transformation is part of Aldi’s £600m investment into further improving its stores and services across the UK and is based on feedback from more than 50,000 customers.

The Bolton News:

Bolton customers can also take a walk down the "Aisle of Aldi", where they will find special offers, which are available every Thursday and Sunday.

During re-opening week, the store will be offering a range of toys, including Horrible Science Kits, Barbie Dream Room Maker Kitz, and Hy-Pro footballs at reasonable prices.

Aldi will officially reopen to customers on Thursday, December 7 at 8am, after being closed since November 23.

The store employs 26 people from the community, and the refurbishment will create additional jobs.

The store, which has 118 car parking spaces, will be open:

Monday – Saturday:        8am – 10pm

Sunday:                             10am – 4pm
