Plans for a development of affordable housing in Little Hulton is soon to be considered by the Salford City Council’s planning committee.
The submission is for 71 houses, internal access roads, landscaping and public open space on land at Manchester Road West.
The applicants are Stonebond Properties (Manchester) Ltd, Great Places Housing Group and James Industrial Ltd.
Should the application be granted, Great Places will procure the services of Stonebond.
After the development is complete the housing association will own the properties and be responsible for lettings and maintenance.
However, some of the homes will be for shared ownership units which residents may eventually be able to own outright.
The plans are "under consultation" on the Salford City Council planning portal, and are due for consideration by the planning panel. So far, there are three objections to the plan.
The site covers an area of approximately 6.03 acres.
A design and access statement accompanying the plans says: “A range of house types are proposed to meet the varied needs of the community including two, three and four-bedroom homes suitable for families, first-time buyers or those looking to downsize.”
