One of Bolton's leading high schools is celebrating an outstanding inspection.
St James' High School in Farnworth underwent a SIAM (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection.
Inspectors were praised for the school's unwavering commitment to its Christian vision and its dedication to the holistic development of students.
The SIAMs inspection, conducted by The National Society (Church of England and Church in Wales), has praised purpose that enables everyone to flourish.
The report states: "Leaders, including governors and the trustees of Bishop Fraser Trust have established a school community with God at its heart. The school’s Christian vision is universally understood by adults and students. Consequently, there is a singularity of purpose that is enabling all to flourish."
The school has "support mental health and wellbeing are extensive and inspired by the school's Christian vision" found the inspectors who added that the school provided "exceptional opportunities for growth".
"This fosters their academic, spiritual and personal growth, making them aspirational for their future as learners and citizens," stated the report.
Catherine Anderson, headteacher, said: "We are very happy with the findings of the SIAMs inspection. This report reflects our unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional education within a nurturing and faith-based environment. We are proud of our school community's dedication to helping students flourish academically, spiritually, and personally."
The report praises St James's Church of England High Schoolfor its well-established Christian vision that infuses "practices, and decisions".
It added that the school's leaders, trustees, and governors understand their community and are "dedicated to personalised pastoral and academic support for all, ensuring that every student can thrive".
Tania Lewyckyj, CEO of The Bishop Fraser Trust stated:"‘We are absolutely delighted with this report as it highlights what we are truly about and how the distinctive Christian education impacts on the whole child to achieve ’life in all its fullness’. We look forward to sharing this across the trust and beyond’.
The report comes a year after the school been graded outstanding in three out of four areas by Ofsted inspectors.
St James CE High School was give top marks for behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership of the school.
The quality of education was described as good and the overall grade for the school was 'good'.
