Some of the most vulnerable in Bolton will be supported thanks to a donation of £2,000.
Amazon fulfilment centre in the town made the cash gift to Bolton Wanderers in the Community, which aims to use the power of Bolton Wanderers Football Club to inspire, support and deliver positive change.
The charity runs a number of projects including a mentoring programme, a disability football club and employability provision.
The donation from Amazon will be used towards supporting some of the most vulnerable members of the Bolton community through the work that the charity carries out.
John Strydom, General Manager at Amazon in Bolton, said: “Bolton Wanderers in the Community is a brilliant organisation that offers a great range of programmes for the entire community. We hope this donation boosts the charity’s efforts and continued support for people across the town.”
Wesley Glennon, an employee at Amazon in Bolton, added: “As a football fan, Bolton Wanderers in the Community is a charity very close to my heart. It’s great that Amazon can provide this donation to recognise the what the charity does for our town.”
Ben Lawton, Deputy CEO, at Bolton Wanderers in the Community said: “Thank you to John and the team from Amazon in Bolton for recognising our efforts with this donation. This support is greatly appreciated and will help us continue offering a number of projects for children, young people and other groups in Bolton.”
