A woman has been taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after being struck by a vehicle in Bolton this morning, Wednesday.
The collision happened on Blackburn Road close to the junction of Canning Street at around 7am.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called to a road traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The force added that a woman has been taken to hospital with "serious injuries" but they are not though to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made, police have said.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We responded to reports of an road traffic collision involving a pedestrian.
"Two response vehicles, an ambulance and an emergency doctor were called.
"The female patient was taken to hospital with leg injuries."
The road has been reopened following the incident.
