An art exhibition has officially opened to the public, showcasing more than 70 pieces.
Blackrod Art Group's annual exhibition of their work is at Blackrod Library, and will run until January 11.
The exhibition was opened by Blackrod mayor, Cllr John Price.
The group's members were delighted to welcome the mayoress, Sandra Price along with local dignitaries and professional artists, to the opening on Thursday October 26.
On the night guest judge, Liz Griffiths, awarded the Harry Speak Trophy to Helen Royse.
The Popular Trophy was awarded to Denis Tootill, and The Ron Hobson Trophy was awarded to Judith Atkinson.
A spokesperson for the group said: “It has been several years since we have held an exhibition where all our members can display their work to the public for an extended period of three months.
“We are most grateful to the library for offering us the venue.
“The exhibition has over 70 pieces of original art on display with many pieces available to buy, making an ideal Christmas gift.”
