There is enough fuel to go around say petrol station staff which has slashed its prices in an early 'Black Friday' deal.
Texaco, situated on Chorley New Road, is having a ‘Black Fuel’ sale from 6am to 9pm today with its prices even cheaper than last year.
And the attendant says there is enough fuel to go around.
New prices at the Horwich fuel court are at 129.9p for petrol and 141.9p for diesel.
The station held a similar sale in 2022 and hundreds of cars queued all day to benefit from the Black Friday weekend frenzy.
Staff member, Hussain Mohammed, said they are not worried about running out of fuel and want as many people as possible to benefit from the deal.
He said: “So far, we haven’t been as busy as last year but it is still early in the day.
“We have a lot of us working today and outside we are directing cars to pump spaces in the busier periods.
“We like doing this, especially during the cost-of-living crisis and in the run up to Christmas, it is just something to help people out a bit.
“Because fuel prices are always changing we decided to do it today rather then wait for Black Friday because you don’t know what will happen between now and then.
“Our prices are normally cheaper than supermarkets anyway but people drive past us every day and don’t always realise.
“This helps us too and let’s people know that we are here.”
“One customer said: “I only live down the road but I remember how busy it was last year."
"It is helpful, especially in the run up to Christmas, I’m just gutted that I already had half a tank so I couldn’t get more."
Another added: “I wondered why it was cheaper then usual!
“I usually avoid Black Friday like the plague, I just popped in this morning to get petrol and drove straight in with no problem.”
Called Black Fuel Day, it will run until 9pm today at that garage only.
