Give us some history about the pub:
We are just a local community pub. It is used to being a hub and the go-to place. It’s been standing for over 100 years. We are turning the pub around with open mic nights, Eagle Minds men’s club, in support of male mental health. We have a quiz, live music and even a games night.
Is food served? If so what’s on the menu?
We have a burger menu and a traditional menu which serves, traditional rag pudding, lasagne, our version of a chippy tea and a vegetable curry.
Is there a beer garden?
Yes
Do you have any darts/snooker/pool teams?
We have two pool teams
Most popular drink served is:
Cruzcampo
Most memorable moment at the pub:
When our piano was delivered and people just randomly played it.
Do you have an entertainment line-up?
We have live music every Saturday evening
Have you faced any challenges within the industry?
The pub had a bad reputation so our challenge is getting the message out we are a family friendly pub once again.
The best thing about running a pub is...
Location and if course the regulars who support us weekly
The worst thing about running a pub is...
Long hours
The perfect hangover cure is...
Fresh orange and one of our smashed burgers and skin in fries.
