A leading accountancy firm has marked its 40th year in business by moving to a new 'state-of-the-art' head office.
Cowgills, founded in Bolton in 1983, has now moved from its previous home on Chorley New Road to Parklands at Middlebrook.
This will place them alongside businesses Keoghs, AO.com and AXA insurance.
Cowgills managing partner Paul Stringer said: “We were established in Bolton forty years ago this year, so we were very keen to keep our headquarters in the town.
“The business has grown rapidly in the last five years, just this year we opened new offices in Manchester and Liverpool for our growing teams in both cities.
“Investing in the very best facilities is a huge priority for us and Parklands provides us with everything we need, including a state-of-the-art working environment and bright, open, flexible workspace.
“Being located at Middlebrook also provides colleagues with plenty of amenities very close by and easy travel links across the region.”
Cowgills has also announced that its wealth division, Cowgills Wealth, has been acquired by national financial advisor Ascot Lloyd.
They say that the sale will ensure that the business can continue to scale and keep up to date with increased regulation.
The 20 strong team will also join Cowgills at Parklands 5B.

This comes after the company last year moved its Manchester city centre base to Annex on Quay Street, taking 3,700 sq ft of space on the first floor after the team doubled in size in just two years across its corporate finance, tax and audit teams.
In Liverpool the firm also took 1,400 sq ft on the second floor of Bruntwood’s Grade II listed Cotton Exchange, at the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district, following growth of its audit, tax and business recovery teams in the city.
Cowgills also has a second office situated in Bolton, Chorley New Road for CHW, the firm’s small business and outsourcing brand.
Mr Stringer said: “Opening our new HQ at Parklands means we now have four superb offices across key northern cities and can provide a full service to clients regardless of where they are based across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.”
