Bolton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks.

From 8.30pm November 16 to 5am November 18, there will be slight delays of under 10 minutes on the M61 northbound between junction two and junction three.

This is due to a lane closure for communications.

From 8am November 19 to 5pm December 16, there will be moderate delays of 10-30 minutes on the M61 southbound, between junctions six and four.

The delays are due to a hard shoulder closure for horticulture works including cutting and planting.

From 8pm November 20 to 5am February 15, there will be moderate delays on the M61 in both directions between junctions four and seven.

This is due to a lane closure for horticulture works including cutting and planting.

From 8pm November 21 to 6am December 6, there will be moderate delays on the A580 westbound to M61 northbound at junction three.

This is due to a lane closure for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
