A new Asian street food restaurant has opened at Bolton's new food and drink court.
Paratha Stop opened on Wigan Road, Deane, this week joining the growing number of businesses there, and it is already proving to be a popular addition.
The new opening joins Heron Foods and Greenhalghs who are now also open at the Stags Head Retail Park.
Iram Patel, director at Paratha Stop LTD said: “I am feeling very excited and a little bit nervous, but we have got the right team behind us, and we have had very positive reviews so far.
“We have had a soft opening nothing too big, but we want to get it right that’s the big thing for us, we are looking at quality over profits.”
Iram said the response has been incredible, serving about 40 customers in the space of two hours.
The 29-year-old from Ladybridge said: “The response has been really good, we have had a lot of customers coming in, a lot of positive reviews off them as well.
“We have served at least around 40 plus customers.
Bolton purely because the food is fresh.
“I have just spoken to a customer now and they said they have needed something like this in“The feedback we have had so far has been amazing.”
Iram said the eatery wants to provide the local community with quality food, and a unique menu.
He said: “We want to offer people quality food; our foods are also freshly made including our parathas.
“Other places use frozen food, but we do everything fresh.
“What we have aimed for is to cater for the wider community so it is an Indian/Pakistani style, so we have got Indian street foods and Pakistani street foods as well.

“We have a unique menu, so when people go onto the menu, they are able to see the food being made for each item.
“For example if you go on the menu and click onto a food item, you are able to see an eight to 10 second video of the item being made so if people don’t know what the product is they can see a description and a video to go alongside that as well.
“We also have QR codes on our tables so people can order directly this is so people don’t have to come and queue up at the till.
"We also have a park and serve at the front as well so they can park up if they don’t fancy coming in, they can order online, we will bring the card machine out to them or they can pay cash at the car window.”
The menu consists of street foods such as kebab tacos and samosa chaat, homemade paratha, fries, pizzas, desserts, a range of sides and kids’ meals.
Iram said the food court is the perfect location for the eatery.
He said: “We think it is a brilliant location because a lot of the takeaways and cuisines in the area are around Derby Street and Daubhill side and Deane Road but there is nothing around this end.
“This end there are not many food places especially something like this so I think it will be a good addition to the local area.”
Cllr Andy Morgan, ward councillor for Heaton, Lostock, and Chew Moor said: “We are looking forward to Paratha Stop opening and enhancing the food offer in this area of the ward.
“I wish them well and would encourage residents to pay them a visit and give them a try.
“I look forward to visiting them myself soon.”
