The Bolton News Education Awards 2023 Winners announced

The awards celebrate all that is great about education in the borough, from the best schools, teachers and pupils to teaching assistants, support workers and lifetime achievements. 

This week, The Bolton News handed out awards at schools across town this week. 

From shocked recipients to triumphant assemblies, the awards went down a storm for all involved.

Here are our winners and highly commended: 

School of the Year - Beaumont Primary, Ladybridge

Highly commended - All Saints CE Primary

Headteacher of the Year - Gary Anders, Green Fold, Farnworth

Highly commended - Nadine Harvey, Oxford Grove Primary

Lifetime Achievement - Mel Flynn, Kearsley Academy

Support Worker of the Year - Andy Bassett, St Catherine's Primary, Horwich

Highly commended - Tina Crossley, St Catherine's Academy
