A borough hotel is collecting gifts for a children's hospice this Christmas.
The Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel on Manchester Road in Blackrod is gathering gifts presents for Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley.
Derian House provides respite, palliative and end-of-life care to children and young people.
Rochelle Jeffrey, wedding and events manager at the hotel said: “Derian House do a fantastic job and we really hope that with the help of our community and local businesses we can give back and give them a whole load of presents to distribute across the families that need the help the most at this time of year.”
It doesn't matter how big or small the gift is, it can be anything from socks, books, pajamas, games, bath sets to toys.
They are asking for unwrapped gifts to be dropped off at the hotel before the cutoff date on Monday, December 18.
The hotel is open 24 hours a day so you can come in any time of the day or night.
People will receive a raffle ticket for every gift they donate, which will give them a chance to win a night's stay at one of the chain's hotels with breakfast included.
Furthermore, anyone that donates a gift will receive a complementary drink at its Christmas party.
