A Radcliffe man has been banned for driving 45 mph over the national speed limit.
Joel James was behind the wheel of an Audi 5 on the M5 in Taunton, Somerset, in May this year.
The 31-year-old, of Eames Avenue, Radcliffe, drove at 115mph.
The case against him was proved at North Somerset Magistrates' Court.
Following this he was banned from the roads for six months.
The reasons given were that he had been involved in "repeat offending."
James was also fined £969 and ordered to pay further costs of £483.
