A police car has been involved in a crash on a street in Bolton.
The incident took place at around 11.20pm on Wigan Road last night.
Images from the scene show a four vehicles were badly damaged including a police car.
A fire service spokesperson from Bolton Central confirmed a police car had been involved in a road traffic collision on Wigan Road.
Footages shows firefighters extinguished a blaze on the police car.
There have been a number of crashes on the same road recently.
In December last year two people were taken to hospital after a crash involving four vehicles.
An in February a two vehicle collision led to two people being hospitalised.
In July last year a man was left with life changing injuries following a crash on the same road.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson has confirmed the crash happened while a police car was heading to an ongoing incident and officers suffered minor injuries.
