A number of drivers were stopped by police during a speed enforcement exercise today.
Officers from GMP Bolton South Neighbourhood team carried out roadside speed checks in Farnworth, Kearsley and Highfield.
Drivers were stopped for breaking the speed limit and other offences.

A spokesperson for Bolton South police said: “Officers from the Bolton south neighbourhood team have been conducting a speeding operation this morning around the Farnworth, Kearsley and Highfield areas.

“A number of drivers have been stopped for excess speed amongst other offences and have been reported to the central ticket office as a result.”
Speed checks are regularly staged across Bolton, especially in response to concerns from residents.
Operation Portman is currently running in Bolton an ongoing initiative by Greater Manchester Police, which was set up in response to concerns over the number of serious road incidents in the town.
