A Bolton man drove a car dangerously and crashed into the garage of a property.
Martin Rattigan was behind the wheel of a Renault Zoe on October 14 this year in Halliwell.
But Bolton Magistrates' Court heard that he crashed the vehicle.
Katrina Beitina, prosecuting, said: “A passer-by was walking down Handel Street in Halliwell.
“They perceived the car to be driving at excessive speed.
“It drove into a garage door.
“The passer-by passed the registration to the police.
“Police attended shortly after.
“They observed a male stood near the parked car.
“Police officers arrested the driver.
“There is a struggle between the officers and the defendant but he is eventually arrested and taken to Swinton custody.
“He has omitted the offence in interview.
“He is a man of previous good character.”
At court Rattigan, 32, of Wildman Lane, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
Chair of the bench Kathleen Butterworth adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
He will be sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court in December.
