People are in for ‘a night of Christmas shopping, live music and a fashion show’ as event organisers hope to support patients on Royal Bolton Hospital children’s ward.

Jenna Atkinson, 34, from Lostock, is hosting a fun Christmas night for all to start the festive season whilst also raising vital funds for a new television and gaming cart for the children’s ward as they currently only have one to share.

“A Night of Christmas Shopping, live music and a fashion show”, is in aid of Our Bolton NHS Charity and will take place on November 9 from 7pm to 10.30pm.

Taking place at the McGinlay's Suite at Toughsheet Community Stadium, the night will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Vicky Hawkesworth and the fashion show will be by Liberty Bluff and the Dress Club.

There will also be local stalls to start Christmas shopping and Harriet Thornton will be performing live music.

“So, I wanted to try to raise enough for another one as they cost more than £2,000, I wanted to try to do something to make a difference to this in the run up to Christmas.

“I am really excited about the event as I am excited to get people together before Christmas and try to make a difference to the children’s ward and an amazing charity that is Our Bolton NHS.

“I didn’t realise Bolton NHS have a charity, but they make such a difference through various projects and initiatives they do.”

Tickets for the event are priced at £20 and include a Carrs Pastie supper but people have to be quick as ticket sales close on Monday, October 30.
