Church Street, Blackrod, 1969
Here’s a photo which will bring back memories for Looking Back readers who grew up in the Blackrod area.
Taken in 1969, it shows the Blackrod Labour Club on Church Street. The sign painted on the wall was faded but there was an illuminated sign above the entrance.
Next door to it was Smith’s family butchers.
