Special police officers will be deployed to areas in Greater Manchester as a response to the current war in the Middle East in Gaza.
Greater Manchester Police announced the officers alongside armed resources would be out in different locations to reassure the general public and deter incidents.
A spokesman for GMP said: "We know some of our communities are concerned by the conflict in the Middle East and incidents in Europe and the UK.
"GMP is continuing to work with partner agencies to assess the impact and reassure adversely affected communities, prevent crime, respond to incidents, and plan for events.
"This involves the deployment of specialists, including the force’s armed resources, to key locations across Greater Manchester.
"Please don’t worry if you see armed resources on patrol – it doesn’t mean there’s a specific threat. They are there to reassure you."
There has been a demonstration in Bolton for Palestine after the recent crisis where Hamas – a militant organisation attacked Israel, who then responded with air strikes in Palestine, and cut off all electricity and water to people in the Gaza strip.
This has led to many people losing their lives.
