New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated three eateries five out of five and one eatery a two out of five hygiene rating.

The inspection report states the eatery is very good in all areas.

Two takeaways have also been handed new hygiene ratings after inspection.

The inspection report states the management of food safety is very good whilst the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good.

Finally, a Bolton takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The eatery’s inspection report states the management of food safety is generally satisfactory whilst improvement is necessary for both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.

It means that of Bolton's 365 takeaways with ratings, 145 (40 per cent) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
