Now firmly into the autumnal season, you may have felt that the air is a little crisper and the nights are growing colder.
At this time of the year, warm coats, snug blankets, and thick jumpers are on the top of many people’s wish lists - and Bury Hospice retail shops are here to meet these wants and needs.
There are seven hospice shops and an eBay store located throughout Bury, offering everything from kids wear to home wear; from bridal wear to furniture.
Compared to the average high street store, all of our items are at affordable price points, which means we meet a range of differing budgets. Also with regular jumble sales held throughout the year, there is always a bargain to be had.
The Radcliffe store in Blackburn Street is the latest of the Bury Hospice shops. Opened in April, the branch is a shopper’s hotspot that’s full of items which have been lovingly donated or gifted to us via high street retailers.
Right now, our Bury Hospice Christmas cards, as well as our 2024 diaries and calendars are proving to be bestsellers - the range of styles and colours covering many tastes.
Our eveningwear stock is also in very high demand, as the festive party season fast approaches.
All of our hospice stores are staffed by friendly volunteers who dedicate their time to providing the best customer service to each and every shopper. You can pop in to meet Pete Geelan at the Radcliffe branch when you’re next out on your shopping rounds. A long-serving volunteer at Bury Hospice, Pete has a passion for music and he always has a story to tell which will make your shopping experience a fun one.
Make your Christmas spend matter by shopping at Bury Hospice retail stores in the knowledge that you are supporting local patients in need of vital palliative and end-of-life care.
We are seeking retail volunteers, get in touch if you’d like to get involved. Email: volunteering@buryhospice.org.uk Tel: 0161 762 5708
