Bolton based TVD Group has invested more than half-a-million pounds into its headquarters to open an 'experience centre'.

The company is an AV technology supplier and installer of commercial audio-visual projects, is celebrating the opening of  The TVD Experience Centre, billed as the Tech Hub of the North.

In over a year-long upgrade and £600,000 investment of its existing headquarters in Bolton, centre is described as  the crowning jewel for a business which started nearly 30 years ago.

This company has recently transitioned to an employee-owned business, with the Trust now owning 51 percent of the shares of the business.

The TVD Experience Centre features immersive display areas, innovative products and fully integrated solutions from TVD’s key partners including Samsung, Philips, LG and over a dozen big-name brands in the AV sector.

Mat Brown, Co-Founder and Director commented at the event, “We wanted to offer both new and existing customers the opportunity to explore the very latest AV technologies from some of the world’s biggest brands, fully integrated into complete solutions in one engaging venue in the north of the UK. 

Highlights on the Experience Centre include Samsung’s £130,000 110-inch ‘The Wall’ MircoLED display, Vestel’s latest commercial display range, TVs from Mitchell & Brown, and premium commercial audio products.

TVD Group grew out of a TV retail business, with Jim Brown and his sons Matthew and Daniel opening TV and Video Direct in 1996 and has grown to be one of the UK’s leading AV technology distributors to the commercial and retail trade, including launching its own TV brand, Mitchell & Brown.
