A yellow weather warning has been issued for Bolton over the course of the next two days with heavy rain expected.
From 9pm today, October 12, until 8pm tomorrow, October 13, heavy rain and strong winds may cause some disruption to travel.
According to the Met Office, spray and flooding on roads will make journeys longer, flooding of a few homes and businesses are likely and bus and train services may also be affected with journey times taking longer.
The weather today is expected to stay sunny until around 4pm when sunny intervals will start before turning cloudy at 5pm.
From the early hours of tomorrow, at around 2am heavy rain is forecast, and the weather will continue to be heavy rain across the borough until around 3pm.

At 1pm tomorrow, the forecast shows there will be heavy rain and highs of 30 miles per hour of wind.
The weather will then brighten up from 3pm with highs of 12C today and highs of 13C tomorrow.
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Brent Walker, said: “As we head through second half of this week cold air will push southwards across the country and there is a risk that showers over mountains of Scotland could turn wintry.
“By the weekend we expect all regions of the UK to be in the cold airmass and overnight frosts are possible.
“With high pressure continuing to dominate our weather early next week, it will start largely fine, settled, and cool by day, with cold nights and a risk of rural air frosts in places.
“Any early morning mist or fog should clear quickly and there could be a few showers possible around some coasts at times.”
