Vernon Kay will be returning to Victoria Park, in Leicester, the home of Radio 2 Party in the Park next month.
He will be travelling over 100 miles on foot for Children In Need 2023.
He will be setting off from Victoria Park, Leicester, and finishing at Bolton Wanderers’ football stadium in his hometown.
Vernon was presented with a huge challenge because he said he wanted to go out and about, and didn’t want to stay in the same place.
He calculated that he will be completing over four marathons in four days, or what the BBC described as an ULTRA Ultramarathon Challenge.
It will be made more difficult because Radio 2 will be throwing everything at him to make the challenge more complicated.
It will take him back to Victoria Park, in Leicester, which was the home of Radio 2 Party in the Park in September at which fellow Boltonian Sara Cox was at.
Vernon said that his cousins Paul and Carol from Bolton were emotional and cried when he got the Radio 2 gig.
The cousins were in Leicester.
Sara Cox joked that since Vernon's cousin Paul was a joiner he might be able to help if the stage needed repair. Vernon said Paul had got his spirit level ready.
During the Party in the Park, Sara Cox said that if she could only pick one act to watch it would be Rick Astley because she said his voice and face had aged beautifully and it whizzed her back to her curly permed hair when she was a teenager.
This is the last week to watch BBC Radio 2 Party in the Park on BBC I Player.
