A major road in Bolton is set to be closed at the end of this month for vital works.
Wigan Road in Westhoughton will be closed from October 28 for approximately ten days whilst gas works are ongoing in the area.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Wigan Road from Market Street to Cricketers Way to allow gas works to take place.
Whilst the closure is in place there will be an alternate route via Mill Street.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
