A car has been seized in Bolton after an expired insurance certificate ‘didn’t wash’ with police.
Over the weekend, neighbourhood officers from the Bolton North team stopped a Toyota Vitz being driven on Winchester Way in Breightmet.
Police reported that the vehicle being driven did not have any insurance .
Officers said that the driver attempted to show an expired insurance certificate but ‘this didn’t wash’.
The car has been seized and the driver reported for driving without insurance.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This vehicle was stopped by Bolton North Neighbourhood officers over the weekend on Winchester Way in Breightmet.
“The vehicle was found to have no insurance. The driver did try showing an expired insurance certificate, but this didn't wash.
“The vehicle has been seized and the driver reported for driving with no insurance.”
