Aldi Supermarket in Over Hulton has reopened its doors after shutting them last week for revamp.
Aldi’s Cutacre Way store opened its doors at 8am, following a refurbishment which started on September 30.
The new look store is part of Aldi’s £600m investment into its supermarkets.
More room has been made for fresh items, while fresh bread and cakes are now housed in a new and improved bakery section on the final aisle.
Store Manager Steven Fox said: “We are pleased to welcome customers back to the Cutacre store after our refurbishment, and we hope the changes made will make their shopping experience even more convenient and enjoyable.”
Bosses say there is more space for Bolton customers to explore the ‘Aisle of Aldi’, with the supermarket’s legendary Specialbuys available every Thursday and Sunday.
This week, to celebrate the re-opening, the store will be running a big pet event, including pet crate mats for £6.99 each, memory foam pet mattresses for £14.99 each and lick mats for £3.99 each.
The store, which has 101 car parking spaces, is located at Unit A2, Cutacre Way, Bolton, BL5 1FN.
In Cutacre, Aldi has its biggest distribution site which features a whole floor dedicated to the Academy, Aldi’s recruitment and training department.
In late September, Aldi announced it had earmarked Bradshaw, Bolton, as a site for a new store.
Aldi said they were looking to open 500 stores across the UK, including in Radcliffe, Bradshaw and Worsley.
Richard Thornton, Communications Director at Aldi UK, said: “We want to make our great value groceries accessible to all, and to do that we need more stores, particularly in towns and areas that don’t have an Aldi already.
“The areas we’ve identified in our latest list are places where there is demand for stores and we are committed to continue investing until we can bring our quality products and unbeatable prices to as many people as possible.”
In June 2023, Aldi refurbished their Breightmet store, with a new and improved Food to Go section, offering a choice of fresh salads, sandwiches and sushi for busy customers.
The opening hours of the new store are: Monday – Saturday: 08:00 – 22:00 Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00
