A police chase in Farnworth ended with a car crashing into a wall early this afternoon.
Officers with Greater Manchester Police's traffic unit pursued the vehicle around lunchtime.
They discovered drugs and the driver was taken into custody to be interviewed after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and on suspicion of drugs offences.
An eyewitness said they saw police on Higher Market Street.
The witness also said they saw a "car smashed into a wall" near the church.
He said the wall wasn't too badly damaged.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said that the BMW was also seized.
Shortly before the chase police were called to a sighting of a wanted person on Higher Market Street in Farnworth today by the public.
Officers were called out to a report of a woman who was wanted for a breach of her bail.
A GMP spokesperson said: "A resident spotted someone who was wanted for breach of her bail going into a newsagents.
"Officers went to arrest her at around 10.50am, but were not successful.
"If any member of the public sees anyone who is wanted for a crime, please call the police."
