An investigation is underway, and several industrial units have been taped off following two cars on fire.

 Six fire crews arrived on the scene at Oakhill Trading Estate on Devonshire Road, Worsley, including one from Bolton Central and Farnworth, at around 9.30pm last night (Friday September 29).

Watch manager Michael O’Neil says that two car fires had spread to one of the units.

Police have since put a cordon in place around the area where the fire happened.

The cause has not yet been confirmed, and police remain on the scene whilst they continue to investigate.

The Bolton News: No one has been reported injured.

Firefighters made the area safe and left at around 1.30am this morning (Saturday September 30).

Mr O’Neil said: “There were six pumps that arrived at around 9.30pm last night.

“We were there until about 1.30am until we made the area safe.

“It looks like a couple of car fires had spread to a building.

“Police are on the scene and there is an investigation.”

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9.50pm last night (September 29), officers were called to assist colleagues in the fire service, following reports of a fire at Oakhill Trading Estate in Worsley.

"The fire was extinguished and enquiries are currently ongoing."

There are currently no road closures in place.
