A man who abused a bounce back loan intended to aid businesses through coronavirus was banned from running any businesses for more than a decade.
Jason Nuttall, whose last address was on Poppy Close, was the director of JPN Retail Services Ltd when it went into liquidation around a year and a half ago.
In 2020, according to the Insolvency Service, the business applied for a bounce back loan of £48,000.
But the bounce back loan of £48,000 was £20,000 more than it was eligible for based on its turnover.
Mr Nuttall told an investigation he thought he was supposed to state the turnover for five years rather than the turnover for one year in the application but, according to the Insolvency Service, this is not the wording on the application.
JPN Retail Services Ltd went into liquidation around a year and a half ago with around £44,000 of the bounce back loan outstanding.
After the investigation by the Insolvency Service Mr Nuttall was banned from running any businesses until 2034 starting this month.
