An appeal has gone out to find a man who is wanted by police.
Greater Manchester Police say that 38-year-old Kurtis Whitney is currently wanted on recall to prison and has links to the Atherton area amongst others across the Greater Manchester region.
Officers have appealed for anyone who may recognise him or who has any knowledge of Whitney’s whereabouts to help them find him.
A spokesperson said: “GMP are appealing for the public’s help to trace Kurtis Whitney, 14/05/1985, who is wanted on recall to prison
“He has links to the Wythenshawe, Longsight, Wigan and Atherton areas of Greater Manchester.”
An image of Whitney supplied by police show a man in his late 30s with dark coloured hair and a beard.
Police regularly put out wanted appeals to help them find suspects or other people who are wanted on recall to prison or in some cases for missing court appearances.
But anyone who sees a wanted person has been urged not to approach them and instead to contact police as soon as it is safe to do so.
Members of the public can call the police on 0161 856 6026 or 999.
Alternatively, witnesses can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
