PUBLIC houses have always been a place to go and socialise with family and friends and to be entertained.
So we have decided to look for old photographs of Bolton pubs throughout the years.
We hope that some of them may stir some happy memories for our readers remembering visits to them.
One thing is for sure, is that you are always guaranteed smiles all-round by the landlords and pub bosses.
In one of the photos, we have also found a photograph of Bolton Wanderers legend John McGinlay at the Spread Eagle as he celebrated the re-opening of the Bromley Cross venue in 1995.
The Scottish forward presented a signed shirt and ball and the shorts he wore on his debut with the national team.
All cash from the auction went to the Special Care Baby Unit at Bolton General Hospital.
Among the other venues featured include Yates in Bolton, Howcroft pub, The City Hotel, Red Lion in Westhoughton, The Stags Head, The Lamb Hotel, The Grapes in Stoneclough and The Pineapple in Astley Bridge.
