Two roads in Horwich are set to be closed for a period of time next month whilst water works take place.
The back of Mary Street will be closed from October 10 for approximately three days whilst the works are ongoing.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of Mary Street from Hope Street to Lord Street.
Diversions will be in place and signage will be put up so drivers can travel around the area with ease.
A road in Daubhill is also set to be closed whilst works are ongoing.

From October 10 for approximately three days, the back of St Helens Road south will be closed for water works.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of St Helens Road south from Aldred Street to Chillam Street to allow water works to take place.
To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
