Three Bolton- Italian cousins are taking their pizza business to a new location in Bolton, with 100 £1 pizzas being given away on launch day.
The well-known Cugini boys – Connor Close, Dino Clark, and Callum Tombs, are taking Cugini Pizza, their authentic Italian pizza business, to the Nook & Cranny Pub in Harwood.
The trio will be launching their first table service business, the cousins will operate out of one of their pizza vans at the back of the pub, taking pizza to the customers.
The first 100 customers on Wednesday, September 27 from 4pm, will enjoy £1 pizza.
And the pizza van at the Edgworth Cricket Club will still be serving customers there.
Connor said: “We’re really excited about it because we’re from Harwood and the original business started in the back yard in Harwood, so it’s a bit of a homecoming.
“The pizza van has not been as busy as we would have liked this summer, so we will park the van at the back of the pub and will do table service.
“It’s like a winter residence and the van will be back out doing festivals as well in spring next year.
“But depending on how successful this is, we might leave this van here.”
Despite Cugini Pizza’s popularity, the summer months have not been easy for the business that started in their aunt’s back garden in Harwood.
Connor said: “The summer has been brilliant when the sun was out, but we are so weather dependent because we’re outside at the cricket club.
“We were doing 1,000 pizzas a week in June when the sun was out.
“So, we’re looking to diversify that so when the weather is good, people can go to Edgworth, and when it’s not, they can go to the pub.”
The cousins are still on the hunt for a permanent venue to call the Cugini home.
Connor said: “We really want that permanent venue where we can take the next step, it’s just finding the right place.
“We’d love to go into the town centre, but that is so risky at the moment with rent and inflation.
“We’d love to be part of the town centre regeneration because I think we could make a difference.”
Pizzas can be ordered on this link from Monday, with Cugini open at the pub from Wednesdays to Sundays from 4pm.
