A Range Rover was seized in Bolton yesterday evening.
Officers have taken a Range Rover off the roads in Horwich after it was spotted by the Bolton West team who were on patrol in the area.
The car was stopped by police on Lever Park Avenue allegedly due to it having a vehicle defect.
The team then carried out checks on the car.
During these, officers reported that the driver was found to have no valid insurance.
The Range Rover was then seized and the driver has been issues a traffic offence report.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Bolton West team came across this vehicle this evening whilst out on patrol in Horwich.
“The vehicle was stopped on Lever Park Avenue, Horwich due to having a vehicle defect.
“Checks were made with the vehicle and the driver was found to have no policy of insurance in place.
“Officers have seized the vehicle under 165A of the Road traffic act 1988 and issued the driver with a traffic offence report (TOR) for the offence of driving with no insurance.”
