A van that was suspected of being stolen will be forensically examined after it was found by Bolton police near Moses Gate.
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) from Farnworth and Kearsley discovered a parked van on Emlyn Street last night.
After running checks on the vehicle, officers discovered it had been reported as stolen from Smethurst Lane the previous day.
Police then recovered the van, taking it to a local garage where they said it would be forensically examined before it was returned to its owner.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Whilst patrolling the Moses Gate area last night, Farnworth and Kearsley PCSOs noticed this van parked up on Emlyn Street.
“Checks revealed it to have been stolen the previous day from Smethurst Lane.
“It was recovered to a local garage where it will be forensically examined before being returned to its owner.
