New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a five out of five hygiene rating and four eateries a three out of five hygiene rating.

The inspection report states all areas of the eatery are generally satisfactory.

It means that of Bolton's 370 takeaways with ratings, 145 (39 per cent) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
