An exciting new film or TV series looks set to be filmed in Bolton as crews park up on a cinema car park.
Film trailers, vintage cars, and tents have been seen at the car park of the Cineworld in Astley Bridge, Bolton.
A black cab taxi and a vintage car were both dropped off on location with several filming crew trucks parked up.
What is being filmed is currently under wraps, but cabinet member for culture, Cllr Nadeem Ayub said there was something big happening in Bolton but could not elaborate on what this was.
He said: “Something is happening, which is going to be good and big for Bolton.
“There’s a lot of exciting things going on here, and we will let everyone know very soon what it is.
“Bolton has a big filming scene, and the future looks bright for the town.”
The film crews are expected to be there until mid-week but this is not confirmed.
This is not the first time Bolton has been home to filming crews, but it is the first time for location.
In August, Filming trucks have descended upon Le Mans Crescent for Michelle Keegan’s Fool Me Once.
The Bolton News was told that filming is taking place "around the back, in the cells" of the old Bolton Magistrates Court, whilst a production worker added that they assumed the scene would be something related to jail or prison, although they could not be certain.
Cllr Ayub said at the time: "There is a lot of filming going on, where we get lots of different celebrities coming.
"It's absolutely brilliant for Bolton as a town, using our fantastic buildings and encouraging people from all walks of life, with actors national and international."
