A boxer is set to fight again in Bolton as he looks forward to a successful career like cousin, Amir Khan.
Abdul Khan is bringing the fight back to his hometown in hopes of securing his tenth win.
The young professional boxer and cousin of retired Amir Khan, will be back out in Bolton on September 16 at the Tough Sheet Stadium.
The 21-year-old said: “I am feeling amazing and I cannot wait.
“It’s my third fight in Bolton and first in the UK this year, so I am really looking forward to it.
“It will be good and after all there is no place like home, it’s where I am most happy.”
The young Khan says he is ready to be back in the ring and has already enjoyed nine wins including fights in Dubai.
Khan has also been training with famous American boxer, Roy Jones Jr.
He said: “Training is going well, and I am working with my coach on a lot of things so I cannot wait to show it all on the night.
“Roy has been amazing for my progression in the sport, he’s in the hall of fame as wall, so to learn from him has been amazing.
“He has been there, and I have learnt so much I can now use.”
Speaking on his boxing career so far, the young Khan said he was proud of how far he had come.
He said: “I have become a lot more mature in the game.
“I have come really far since then and it has been really fun and there’s been a lot of growth in me.”
Abdul will see his friends and family at the fight and hopes to make everyone proud.
He said: “I expect a lot of excitement and of course to go out there and win.
“I want to thank everyone that always comes out to support me, no support goes un-noticed.
“It really does mean a lot to me to see everyone at the fights and makes it all the more worthwhile when I win and can make people proud of the town we live in.”
