Stunning pictures captured the moment the famous Red Arrows flew over Bolton today as they headed to the Southport Air Show.
There will also be a flypast on Saturday over the north of Bolton at around 11.56am and plenty of people were out today watching the red arrows display with the smoke seen in the sky in Bromley Cross.
The RAF's Red Arrows team is known for its distinctive diamond nine formation, and has been displaying since 1965.
People around Bolton were snapping shots of the famous formation as they flew over at around 4.16pm.
The Arrows will also travel directly over Liverpool city centre on their way to Blackpool Airport.
As well as the Southport Airshow on Saturday, the team is due to help close the International Ayr Show Festival of Flight in Scotland.
On Sunday, the team is due to fly over the Great North Run. They’ll then have a few days before their next scheduled displays on September 14, when the team is planning to display at the Guernsey Air Display and the Jersey International Airshow.
