People can attend free yoga sessions this weekend to mark the launch of a new yoga studio in Horwich.
One Yoga UK is opening a new studio at Lee Lane with free classes from Friday to Sunday.
The studio is kitted out in environmentally safe yoga mats, blocks and belts.
Anyone can attend, with sessions from tonight, Friday, September 8 from 6pm to 7pm.
Tomorrow, Saturday, will have three sessions, with one at 9.30am to 11am, another at 11.15am to 12.45pm, and 2pm to 3pm.
Sunday’s sessions are from 10am to 11am, 12.30pm to 1.30pm and 5pm to 6pm.
The classes will cater for all abilities, incorporating Jivamukti, a very challenging, yet spiritual practice.
A typical class presents classical yoga teachings as relevant to one’s life on and off the mat, spiritual teachings from the focus of the month, supported by chanting, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation and meditation.
There will also be Yin and Restorative, a very slow and highly restorative practise where each posture is held for several minutes; designed to release stress and tension in the body.
Beginners are welcome to the class and after people can sign up to monthly or single classes after the launch.
