Bolton’s motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highway’s network this month.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
From 8pm on Monday, September 11 to 6am on Wednesday, September 13, there will be moderate delays on the M61 southbound between the A666 and M60.
This is due to a carriageway closure for communications.
From 9pm on Monday, September 11 to 5am on Wednesday, September 13, there will be moderate delays on the M61 southbound, from junction five to junction three.
This is due to a carriageway closure while white lining and road markings are completed.

From 9pm on Thursday, September 14 to 5am on Friday, September 15, there will be slight delays of under 10 minutes on the M61 northbound and southbound, at junction six.
This is due to a lane closure for horticulture including cutting and planting.
From 9pm on Friday, September 15 to 5am on Saturday, September 16, there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound and southbound, at junction six, this is also due to a lane closure for horticulture works including cutting and planting.
From 9pm on Saturday, September 16 to 5am on Sunday, September 17, there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound and southbound, from junction five to junction four.
This is due to a lane closure for horticulture works.
And from 9pm on Sunday, September 17 to 6am on Monday, September 18, there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound and southbound, at junction two.
There will be four lane closures due to maintenance works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
