New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated two eateries four out of five ratings, one eatery a two out of five rating and two eateries one out of five hygiene ratings.
Sorento at 179 Albert Road, Farnworth, was given a score of four out of five after inspection on July 29.
The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is generally satisfactory.

Taste of China, a takeaway at 523 Wigan Road, Bolton, was also given a score of four on July 27.
The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good whilst the management of food safety is generally satisfactory.
One eatery was handed a two star score.
Cha Cha Chai, a restaurant, cafe, or canteen at 272-276 Wigan Road, Bolton, was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 27.
The inspection report states both the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory whilst improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling.
Two eateries have also been handed new one out of five hygiene ratings.

L & B Restaurant at 162 Derby Street, Bolton, was rated a score of one out of five after inspection on July 28.
The inspection report states major improvement is necessary for the management of food safety, improvement is necessary for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the hygienic food handling is generally satisfactory.
Little Italy at 333 Wigan Road, Bolton, was given a one star rating after inspection on July 28.
The eatery’s inspection report states major improvement is necessary for both the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety whilst the hygienic food handling is generally satisfactory.
