The Nutcracker will be coming to Bolton in a new production by a group of ballet dancers.
The Crown Ballet will be performing at The Albert Halls in Nutcracker on Thursday, October 26 with music by Tchaikovsky
The original Christmas story is based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, written by E.T.A. Hoffmann. It tells the story of Marie, a sad little girl, whose godfather, Drosselmeier, gives her a Nutcracker doll as a present on Christmas Eve.
In her lively imagination it turns into a prince and the magic starts.
A spokesman for the event said: "The ballet is the ultimate fairytale where goodness and beauty triumph.
"This eternal seasonal favourite will be an unforgettable journey in the run-up to Christmas and an ideal introduction to audiences of any age to the magic that is the classical ballet.
"A wonderful treat full of glitter for the whole family."
Meanwhile, The Addams Family will also be coming to The Albert Halls in a new production set to test their spooky family values.
In the production, which will take to the stage from September 19 to 23, Wednesday Addams goes up against her family for a man she loves.
A spokesman for the event added: "Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met."
